Camp: Puppet Theater: Page to Stage (Ages 5-7)

This week, our work with puppets will focus on merging building with literacy skills. We'll be making stories come alive by building the characters ourselves and then using our puppets to act out plays that we devise based on the stories. Campers will get to build some fantastic puppets, working through all the natural problem solving that occurs during that process. Plus, they'll be immersed in thinking about characters, motivation, emotion, and story structure by working to ask those questions that all good readers ask as they read. Great for struggling and enthusiastic readers.
