About the Teaching Artist
Lorraine Goodman received her undergraduate degree from Princeton (class ‘83) and subsequently pursued a career in theatre, where she appeared in leading roles on Broadway in three Tony Award-winning shows: The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Les Miserables, and Master Class. In addition, she soloed onstage at Carnegie Hall and starred in Cats and Phantom of the Opera abroad. Her greatest claim to Broadway fame was with Terrence McNally’s “Master Class,” where she covered the role originally played by six-time Tony-award winner Audra McDonald and performed it over 100 times.
