Description
Drawing Foundations II is now online. This class will provide children a studio experience from their own home. All lessons will be led by our Teaching Artist Emily Buchalski and allow your child to socialize with other students in the class. You must have internet on a device with a built in camera to participate. Focusing on drawing techniques, this foundations course will build skills needed to continue on the visual arts track. In this class we will learn the vocabulary and explore the different drawing tools of an artist. We will create a value chart that will help us learn about tone, shading, and light sources. Next, we will use techniques like scribbling, crosshatching, and stippling to create a depth factor in art. We will then study color theory and explore with self-portraits and finally life drawing.
