Description

Voice training for Musical Theatre is now online.  This class will provide children a studio experience from their own home. All lessons will be led by our Teaching Artist Lorraine Goodman and allow your child to socialize with other students in the class. You must have internet on a device with a built in camera to participate.  YOU CAN SHINE on the stage! With an experienced Broadway veteran, you will become both a more confident and trained singer. Through fun exercises and new techniques, you will train your most important instrument to prepare for stage performances. Perfect for those who want to improve the quality of their singing voice for groups like our OTW troupe and summer camps. On the final day of the session, show off what you’ve learned to your friends and families in a culminating showcase performance.

About the Teaching Artist

Lorraine Goodman received her undergraduate degree from Princeton (class ‘83) and subsequently pursued a career in theatre, where she appeared in leading roles on Broadway in three Tony Award-winning shows: The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Les Miserables, and Master Class. In addition, she soloed onstage at Carnegie Hall and starred in Cats and Phantom of the Opera abroad. Her greatest claim to Broadway fame was with Terrence McNally’s “Master Class,” where she covered the role originally played by six-time Tony-award winner Audra McDonald and performed it over 100 times.
