Description

American Repertory Ballet’s Beginning Ballet uses dance as an effective tool to engage young children while helping them to understand and control their body’s movements. Our instructor will lead students in a stretch/warm-up session, followed by basic Ballet technique, vocabulary, and fun dance games. Gentlemen are encouraged to attend -- no bun or tutu required. A strong foundation in dance can lead to success in a wide variety of athletic endeavors.

About the Teaching Artist: Sabrina Iacobellis has been dancing for 18 years. She is currently a Dance Performance major at Rider University and has been training at The Princeton Ballet School for the last 4 years. She has performed works choreographed by Dawn Berman of the dancer-illusionist company Momix and Jenifer Gladney of American Repertory Ballet. She is looking forward to performing in her 5th collaborative dance show this Spring. She has choreographed for productions of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and Gypsy. She has previously taught at Dancer's Pointe of Howell and the Asbury Park Boys and Girls Club. She currently teaches for American Repertory Ballet's Dance Power program.
