Description
No brushes allowed! Young artists will have a blast with talented teaching artist Reshma Sharma as she takes students through a step by step process in creating impressionistic style of paintings using their fingers.
Emphasis will be on color placement and learning techniques to blend colors on the canvas. You’ll learn to build texture as Ms. Sharma works closely with each student sharing her tips, as well as encouraging students to enjoy the freedom of creating their own techniques. Using their fingers to paint students will connect with the canvas in the most creative and therapeutic way.
About the Teaching Artist: Reshma Sharma is an artist and a visual art teacher.
Reshma’s work is a personal stylistic interpretation inspired by Indian folk art & oriental Motifs. Sharma uses a variety of mediums like Acrylic, Oils and Watercolor & Ink and is best known for her Finger Paintings using Oil. Bold & bright colors are seen in her work. Reshma Sharma has a B.S. in Physics & Computer Science. After working in the IT industry for several years she turned towards painting and experimenting with Oils and Acrylics. Reshma was inspired by Brooklyn based artist Iris Scott and started devoting her time painting with her fingers while still incorporating her bold bright colors.
