Description

Focusing on colored pencil drawing techniques, this foundations course will build skills needed to continue on the visual arts track. In this class we will learn the vocabulary and explore the different drawing tools of an artist. We will create a color value chart that will help us learn about hue, tone, shading, and light sources. Next, we will use techniques like scribbling, crosshatching, and stippling to create a depth factor in art. We will use our techniques to draw realistic wild animals by perfecting every feature with colored pencil skills.
