Description

Focusing on drawing techniques, this foundations course will build skills needed to continue on the visual arts track. In this class we will learn the vocabulary and explore the different drawing tools of an artist. We will create a value chart that will help us learn about tone, shading, and light sources. Next, we will use techniques like scribbling, crosshatching, and stippling to create a depth factor in art. We will then study color theory and explore with self-portraits and finally life drawing.
