Would you like to save money by framing your work attractively, easily and confidently by yourself? Showing our work as artists and photographers is what we do and all shows require our pieces to be framed appropriately. An attractive frame on a painting or photograph usually enhances the piece and may help sell it, but the need to have pieces framed on a regular basis can end up costing a lot of money. This 2 hour class will get you started on the path to framing your art yourself. It will cover the different framing options and the materials needed to accomplish them, as well as, how to wire your art and how to create a basic framing tool kit.
About the Teaching Artist: This class is given by Hillary Binder-Klein, a self-taught artist who has been creating art her whole life and framing it on her own for about 35 years. She has exhibited her art, framed by her, at art shows and galleries throughout New Jersey since 1983. Hillary is an associate member of the Guild of Creative Art, a member of the Belmar Arts Council, the Art Alliance of Monmouth and the Monmouth County Arts Council. Hillary has taught at the Teen Arts Festivals in Monmouth, Ocean and Middlesex. She has also taught at the Teen Arts Festival in Union for the last 13 years.
