Description

Each class will feature demonstrations with a specific concept in mind (eg. wet-into-wet, dry brush, etc.) so that students can see how the technique is successfully applied. Students will develop skill in drawing with a brush, understand the importance of values and their role in creating a successful painting, learn to control paint based on the amount of water and type of brush used, as well as how to create strokes that are bold and confident.

Materials Needed (cost will be around $50-$75): Artist grade watercolors, one tube of each of the following colors: ultramarine blue, primary red, Winsor yellow, 140 lb cold press watercolor paper, 9x12 size (Canson studio grade paper is fine), #7 pointed round brush, #10 pointed round brush, container for water, paper towels.
