Tuesday: Guided Studio for Oil Painters [Ages 15-Adult]

Summary

Students with skills at all levels will be instructed by Ms. Ahmed and taught to experiment with oil paint. Beginners will learn the fundamentals including principles of composition, light and shadow effect, basic perspective, and color theory. Intermediate and advanced students will explore more complex challenges based on their interests and experience. Experienced participants will have a choice to work on independent projects or projects given by the instructor. Students will be encouraged to develop their own style. {Materials list in detailed description]

Registration fee:
Regular: $225 | Members: $202.50

Late fees of $25 will apply from September 26

Description

Materials list - Please bring the following to the first class:
1. Canvas -  16x20 inches or smaller
2. Oil Painting set ( Reeves oil painting set ,
about 12 colors, price is around $14 )
3. Brushes for oil painting (a set of Bristle or Nylon brushes, around $7 or less)
4. Linseed oil (smaller size)
5.Pencil
6.Eraser
7. Palette (disposable palette for oil painting is good)

About the Teaching Artist: Zakia Ahmed has been teaching for over 25 years and is excited to offer classes at the West Windsor Arts Center, bringing her local loyal following with her. Ms. Ahmed has a Master’s of Fine Arts from the Institute of Fine Arts in Dhaka, Bangladesh.  Her works are on exhibit in the Bangladesh National Museum, Bangladesh Shilpkala Academy, and in many private collections worldwide.
