Description
Create beautiful fabric of your own design using a variety of printing, painting and surface design techniques. Begin the course by using silkscreens provided by the teacher and learn to print them with thickened dye. Also experiment with soy wax and freezer paper as resist. One scarf will be provided so we can use our newly acquired information and come away with a masterpiece to wear. Materials are listed below.

Sketchpad at least 9”x12”
Scissors
Carved stamps, if you have any
Towel for clean-up
*Found objects with which to create images: these may include junk drawer stuff, plastic lace, keys,non skid pads, leaves, window screen mesh etc, materials from nature.
Fabric: One yard of 100% cotton or linen or any natural fiber. Silk is difficult to work on. Fabric should be pre-washed.
*** Judy will have this available for sale for $7 per yard.
