9:00am - 4:00pm; Lunch Break 12 - 1 pm
Full week: Members*: $360 | Non-Members: $400
Half day Weekly: 9am-12pm OR 1-4pm: Members* $180 | Non Members: $200
Daily rate: Members*: 81/day | Non-Members: $90/day
*Household members or higher

For registrations after 4pm on the Thursday before the camp start date, a materials kit will not be available to be picked up until Monday evening.

Description

Comics and superheroes go together like cookies and milk! In this camp, you will use drawing materials to sketch, as well as experiment with a wide range of media from clay, pencil, marker, watercolor, ink, etc. to explore various styles of artwork. You will explore various styles of comics including traditional heroes and superhero, Japanese Manga, and underground traditional. In this legendary camp, use your superhero powers to create something out of this world!

Online Camp will be an immersive experience to get creative from the comfort and safey of your home. This camp will be both a one-on-one experience with our teaching artists and a great opportunity to connect with other students with similar interest.


About the Teaching Artists:

Anusha Saran is a mixed media artist from West Windsor, NJ who is best known for her multi-media paintings with intricate fine line pen details. Her work has been exhibited and won several awards in India and US. She has a BA in Architecture and Masters in Design from National Institute of Design (NID), India, specializing in Ceramic and Glass Design. She started teaching art to children and loves to share her knowledge of design experience to help them explore their creative edge.




Ryan Gilleece is a 2015 graduate of the Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Arts currently working on the webcomic, Artificial Tears. He specializes in sequential art and character design, and both traditional and digital media. He is an aftercare counselor and a summer enrichment instructor for the Piscataway School system.
