Description
Explore how Art and Design are interconnected to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. We will make a variety of projects and discuss how thinking like an artist is similar to STEM thinking. Think tessellations, golden proportions, pendulum paintings, grid drawings, and more.
About the Teaching Artist
Tracy Kociolek earned a BFA from St. Peter's College, NYC. She has been a teacher for over 20 years, specializing in elementary art, and currently teaches in the South Brunswick School District. She especially enjoys working on and teaching Book Arts, Drawing, Repurposed art, and Photography. She loves to get the best from her students and considers teaching her favorite art of all.
