Description

Acting I Curriculum: Mr. Bisgaier, himself a professional actor, has designed this class for young people to develop basic theater skills and more, including learning how to work in a group, improvise, follow directions, create characters, and tell compelling stories. Students will acquire and build upon foundational skills through games and activities that promote focus, communication, teamwork, and listening skills. About the Teaching Artist: Peter Bisgaier has dedicated his life to the pursuit of high quality artistic endeavors.  He has worked in all aspects of theatre since graduation from the University of Southern California with a BFA in Theatre.  Currently, in addition to teaching classes and camps on acting, playwriting and filmmaking at the West Windsor Arts Council, Peter is also the co-founder and Producing Artistic Director of the Pegasus Theater Project.
As Co-Producing Artistic Director of The Empire Theatre Company, he oversaw the production of three off-Broadway plays, most notably the NY stage premiere of Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs.  As an actor, he has appeared across the country in such roles as Jonathan Harker in Dracula (Delaware Theatre Co.), Faulkland in The Rivals (Horse Cave Theatre), the title role in The Nerd (Phoenix Theatre), Clive/Cathy in Cloud Nine (Green Room Theatre), and Ernie in Rumors (Montgomery Theater Company).  An award-winning director, Peter has directed over 30 productions, most recently Bakersfield Mist, Picasso at the Lapin Agile and Unnecessary Farce.  As a playwright, he wrote stage adaptations of Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs  and the novel Choke by Chuck Palahniuk (Fight Club), as well as several short plays and monologues.  Currently, Peter is busy completing his latest play Climbing the Slide.  His screenplay The Legend of Santa Claus: The Beginning has been optioned by AugustRoad Entertainment and is on its way to becoming a feature film.
