Description

French rendez-vous: Good to strong knowledge of French language required.


The series of interactive classes are intended for students wishing to improve their speaking skills
and expand their vocabulary. The rendez-vous invite participants to hold both
guided and open conversations. Each rendez-vous explores new topics (except for politics).
Challenging and fun, the classes emphasize friendliness and camaraderie. No homework.

 

About the Teaching Artist: 

A French-speaking native – Brigitte Aflalo-Calderon was born and raised in Morocco and now
divides her time between the USA and the south of France. She has been teaching French for 20
years both to adults and children in institutions including the World Bank and L’Alliance
Francaise in Washington, D.C., Princeton Senior Resource Center and Montessori schools.
Additionally, she has been tutoring students from beginner to advanced French-language skill
levels. During her career at the World Bank, she worked as a bilingual (English-French) writer
and translator. Her multicultural background and ability to speak several foreign languages have
prepared her to effectively communicate with students from varied cultural backgrounds and
foreign language capabilities. Very engaging, Brigitte is keen to maintain a friendly atmosphere
in her classes.
