"I wanted this painting to be abstract and to have a secretive meaning. Right after my Grandma Silla died, the light was flickering in her living room and we thought it was my Great-Grandma Rae-Rae and my Grandma together. I think ghostly tears is a good title for it because it looks like a flood of tears.
My name is Drew Algava and I am 12 years old. You might know me because of my grandma, Priscilla Snow Algava. I have painted with her so many times. She died of cancer just last year in April. But her spirit is inside of me and it makes my paintings so much better. I have connected with so many different people from her and her empathy makes me better as a person. Those 11 years with her have changed the way that I think about the world. I could not have been this human today without you."
